Safety Education
The Pennsylvania State Police strive to ensure you are provided with information
and services that will help you Be Smart, Be Aware and Be Safe at home, at
work and in your communities. In addition to other services, the Department
has full-time Community Services/PublicInformation Officers (CS/PIO) who
make presentations upon request to a wide variety of community organizations
to foster an understanding of State Police operations and programs. Other
presentationscan be made on a variety of issues for all age groups, at schools
and related events, as well as to both public and private organizations and
companies.
CS/PIO are responsible for creating and maintaining relationships with communities,
to include organizations and other law enforcement agencies to foster mutual respect
and understanding within a State Police Troop or Station area, and to provide a forum
of understanding that we must work together to be smart, be aware and be safe in our
everyday lives.
